OhSoPretty Shops - Farfalla Gialla

Farfalla Gialla is a company set up by Fa Giandosa, an amateur musician from Sao Paolo, Brasil.

She is a mother of three and has handmade everything in her shop.  Her websites are in Portuguese but she also has an Etsy shop.  Her work is adorable and exquisite and she ships abroad so it’s definitely worth a look.

See more examples of her work below and you can find more at her website and Etsy shop.  Links at the bottom of the page.

Oh So Pretty Shops - Peter Pauper Press

Peter Pauper Press was established in 1928 with the design and print of about 200 books from the basement of one of the founders' father's house.

The company has remained in the family ever since, although at one point was close to closing when the remaining original founder and his wife passed away, but their children changed their careers to continue their parents' legacy.   And now the third generation are working for the company.

Daffodils - William Wordsworth

I wander'd lonely as a cloud
That floats on high o'er vales and hills,
When all at once I saw a crowd,
A host of golden daffodils,

Beside the lake, beneath the trees
Fluttering and dancing in the breeze.
Continuous as the stars that shine
And twinkle on the milky way,

They stretch'd in never-ending line
Along the margin of a bay:
Ten thousand saw I at a glance
Tossing their heads in sprightly dance.

The waves beside them danced, but they
Out-did the sparkling waves in glee: -
A poet could not but be gay
In such a jocund company!

I gazed - and gazed - but little thought
What wealth the show to me had brought.
For oft, when on my couch I lie
In vacant or in pensive mood,

They flash upon that inward eye
Which is the bliss of solitude;
And then my heart with pleasure fills
And dances with the daffodils.

Oh So Pretty Art - Daniel Ochoa

Cambio Self Rotrato

Daniel Ochoa is an amazing artist who explores personal experiences through his work, getting his inspiration from photos, memory and emotions.

From The Pinata
He grew up in a bicultural and bilingual household where his father was an immigrant from Mexico, and his mother a white American.

In a statement from the artist himself he says, "Overtime, I learned to perceive cultural dichotomies and accommodate conflicting viewpoints".

Basabuela Portrait
I personally find his work striking. Every piece is serious, not easy on the eye but hard to look away from, and over-all completely captivating.

Oh So Pretty Shops - Emma Bridgewater

Emma Bridgewater is a fantastic company focusing on the heart of the home and family room: the kitchen! The company was started by Emma Bridgewater and her husband Matthew, both drawing great inspiration from their families and childhood.

I absolutely love their products, and the fact that the business started from around their own kitchen table, and they have their own family designing for them.  It is such a family orientated business and there's really nothing better than buying from a family business.

See more of my favourite Emma Bridgewater items below and don't forget to find the link to their website at the bottom of the page to see the rest of their lovely items for sale.

Oh So Pretty Shops - Alexander Taron

I love The Taron Company.  It was founded over 50 years ago and it's focus has always been the same, to bring unique high quality collectable giftware, handicraft and toywear to the U.S marketplace.

Tin Horse Carousel
The products Alexander Taron sells are exquisite and are made from tradition materials, such as tin and wood, and there are some real old time classics such as cuckoo clocks with moving figurines, old style spinning tops, and "pyramids" which work when the heat of a candle propells the fan at the top, which in turn moves a disc in the centre with a selected 'scene' on it.  Like the one below.

Wooden Penguin Pyramid
Here are some of my favourite products from his store.
