Oh So Pretty Shops - Petit Plat

Petit Plat is a fantastic brand created by Stephanie Kilgast.

Kilgast hand makes miniature food, and not only do these wonderful creations look fantastic in a dolls house but she also makes her miniature food into jewellery (genius!). 

In her bio she tells us she discovered her passion for miniatures in 2007 while she was searching for a new hobby because she was bored!  What a great story!

I think this is such a different and unique idea and I just love it.  My favourites are the pendants (that way I wouldn’t see them and get hungry) with sushi or doughnuts. 

Kilgast wants to publish a tutorial book about sculpting miniature food in the future.  But for now she has uploaded some online tutorials which you can find a link to on her website, which you can find at the end of this post.

Oh So Pretty Art - Judith Braun

I'm loving these finger paintings, or "fingerings" by Judith Braun, a controvertial artist who started out in the 1980's as a realistic figure painter.  In her bio she writes:

"I began the ongoing drawing project “Symmetrical Procedures”, and in 2004 re-entered the art world exhibiting this work. These drawings, as well as the wall “Fingerings” I now do,  are connected to all the work that came before; it’s just me moving through my life and times, seeing what holds my attention, and in a way, gives me pleasure. Because if it wasn’t for pleasure all we’d have is a bunch of stuff vibrating."
